Unique autorité organisatrice du service public de distribution d’électricité en Lot-et-Garonne, SEM AVERGIES met en œuvre des projets structurants de production, de distribution et de stockage d’énergies renouvelables au service des collectivités et acteurs privés. Elle intervient notamment dans la réalisation d’études, le développement de projets, leur construction, l’exploitation et la vente d’énergie renouvelable, en mobilisant des ressources locales comme le solaire photovoltaïque, la méthanisation agricole et la mobilité au gaz vert.

Parmi ses projets phares figure le partenariat avec Waga Energy et Valorizon pour concevoir une unité de production de gaz renouvelable (RNG) sur le site de l’alibi Landfill à Monflanquin, avec une injection directe dans le réseau géré par GRDF.

SEM AVERGIES est un acteur référencé et soutenu par GRDF dans le cadre de l’appel à projets « Valorisation du bioCO₂ issu de la méthanisation ». En 2021, elle s’est associée à plusieurs unités de méthanisation agricoles pour conduire une étude de faisabilité en partenariat avec GRDF visant à valoriser le CO₂ biogénique par un schéma technique et économique mutualisé. L’étude a démarré par la conduite d’un benchmark à l’échelle européenne des modes de valorisation du CO₂ au niveau des unités de méthanisation. Ensuite, les marchés locaux les plus pertinents ont été identifiés (ex : maraîchage sous serre, production de spiruline, étourdissement des animaux avant abatage). Actuellement, une étude d’optimisation des moyens techniques (ex : mutualisation de certains équipements) est en cours de réalisation.

SEM AVERGIES is the sole organizing authority for the public electricity distribution service in Lot-et-Garonne. It implements major projects for the production, distribution, and storage of renewable energies to serve local authorities and private stakeholders. Its activities include feasibility studies, project development, construction, operation, and the sale of renewable energy, mobilizing local resources such as photovoltaic solar power, agricultural anaerobic digestion, and green gas mobility.

Among its flagship projects is a partnership with Waga Energy and Valorizon to build a renewable natural gas (RNG) production unit at the Alibi landfill site in Monflanquin, with injection into the network operated by GRDF.

SEM AVERGIES is referenced and supported by GRDF under the call for projects "Recovering bio-CO₂ from anaerobic digestion." In 2021, it partnered with several agricultural anaerobic digestion units to conduct a feasibility study with GRDF aimed at recovering biogenic CO₂ through a shared technical and economic scheme. The study began with a Europe-wide benchmark of CO₂ recovery pathways at anaerobic digestion units, then identified the most relevant local markets (e.g., greenhouse horticulture, spirulina production, livestock stunning prior to slaughter). An ongoing optimization phase is now assessing technical solutions, including potential mutualization of certain equipment.
